Details about the Program:

 You will learn how to start a business by creating a business plan and learning how to do the research for the market you plan on entering. You will also learn how the government affects businesses, the options for ownership of a business, the accounting forms, and many other things about business.

Benefits of taking this course?

The students who complete the program both years, pass the end of program test, the workplace skills test, and maintain a 3.0 GPA in the program will receive a certificate of completion from the CTE State Department which will help them get a job in a business. They will also receive college credits from CSN. You will also earn school credits for both semesters and college credits.  

Activities done in the program?

Students will belong to FBLA and will compete in State competition as well as National competition if they place high enough in State. There is a chance to travel to compete. I am hoping to run the class as a business next year. The students will have a job and earn money for it. They will also have bills that they must pay every month to continue. There will be incentives to do well. I am also trying to bring in the Stock Market Game next year. There will be guest speakers, field trips, and online interviews of different professions for career interests.
